I am married to a light sleeper and need a ceiling projection so I don't have to turn around to see the time when I'm not looking at the clock (even turning can wake it up). I originally bought an earlier Mesqool projection clock (with red numbers) and it worked fine, but the radio function was hard to turn off at times (when the alarm went off). Got this new version which has no radio function (which is good but not necessary) and wanted to try the shaker alarm clock to see if it would wake my wife. Verdict: Vibration has an attitude, so you'll have to experiment where it goes. I ended up putting it between the box spring and the mattress further up the bed (a good long piece of string makes this possible). It worked very well - better than the horn. It really depends on how light you sleep. I also love the new dimming feature, the lowest setting is ideal as I don't want to be staring at bright lights in the middle of the night (wakes me up when I need to go back to sleep). I also like the new blue projection color - again, cooler colors to fall asleep to. Good improvements all round, the only thing I would say is that the next version should include vibration settings if possible. But overall a great product!
