I tried ChooMee ties to keep the bag from spilling, but my son didn't like the ties and refused to touch the bag with any of them. Enter this product. The cases appear to be made well enough to withstand several months of use by the average toddler. I feel the need to be very careful with opening and closing it. The side hinges are just thinner sections of plastic that seem to wear down over time, but unless you twist the "door" part to snap at that hinge, it seems like it should last at least a couple. about a hundred uses. The rounded tab design that snaps to close feels a little flimsy/fragile, but they work quite well and feel secure when closed. It can be one of those items that feels a bit fragile but will last a lot longer than you would expect. I'll definitely be posting a sequel so you know. You're probably wondering why I'm reviewing this now instead of waiting while I have these answers for you. I want to share some major design flaws that will keep you from wasting your money. This item cannot be used with ChooMe Beanies. ChooMee Sip'n Soft Top with Flow Control and Cap for Bag Feeding (Red Purple Orange and Aqua) 4 pcs General. If you want to use this with disposable pouches I have found a silicone cap to use with the EasyPouch case. These pouchpop caps are basically a soft, straw-like extension that screws onto the top of the pouch with a thread that its top screws onto. These toppers are open tubes so they won't prevent spills like ChooMe, but using them with an EasyPouch case will result in minimal spills. PouchPop Topper 2 Pack Pouch Feeding 4 Months+ - Red/Orange This product is mostly useless to me personally as it cannot be used with reusable pouches. If you only use disposable bags with no attachments like ChooMe, then this product design is for you. ETA: A few months later I've used them dozens of times with or without pouchpop and the cases have held up well. I have always hand washed them and they still look new. My son found that he can throw food out of them (physics, yo) but they're still a lot less messy than a bag without a case. We haven't had any cracks or breaks in the plastic and my son (now 18 months old) hasn't quite figured out how to open them yet.
