Completely useless thing. I tried to kill at least 50 flies and other flying creatures. It killed 2 of them. He's tall and clumsy. You can only swing it at about a quarter the speed of a regular fly swatter. So you're missing out on MUCH more of it than you're getting. What happens when you finally meet one? They laugh at you and fly away. Anything larger than nat will not fit through the external bumper. Therefore, most flies are too big to pass through the outer screen, so the inner impact screen will kill them. This forces you to hit one of them at the slow speed this thing moves, and it's not fast enough to kill them by standard means. You need the shock function to kill them. As for standing alone and attracting and killing bugs, not one was killed the entire day I ran it. But they flew past him and landed on me even though I was sitting two feet away from him. Which really annoys me. In the box was a card that said if I leave a review, take a screenshot and send it to them, I'll get a $25 Amazon gift card. I paid $23 for it with taxes. So I literally made $2 and got it for free. Well, it's nothing more than a power-hungry decoration to sit and stare at, so I see no reason to even keep it for free. I'm one of those unicorn people who still think my honesty is more valuable to me than a free piece of junk just taking up space. I'm sending it back to Amazon for a refund. I'll let you decide whether or not companies that offer a $25 gift card for a product review influence reviews here. There is an incredible amount of 5-star product reviews that wouldn't be 0 stars if Amazon let you go below 1 star in the reviews. But for some reason EVERYONE seems awfully happy that they can't even use it.
