Good for a start
I carve avocado seeds. I think what I really needed was just a V-Hollow or several of them at different angles. This set has a V notch. They work very well with avocado seeds. Some of the blades were slightly chipped but they are very easy to sharpen. I advise you to have a whetstone and a slingshot handy. Some carving sets come with a whetstone and belt, and this may be a better deal.
