Chairs are bigger than expected. Very sturdy and comfortable. One complaint: I'm 5'3". The foot rest is so low to the ground, my feet can't reach it while I'm sitting on stool--so, my legs dangle. Hubby is 6" and it's just ok for him. He's going to look for a fix. Assemby: two 61 yo chicks put these together in about 1.5 hours. Using an electric drill and socket was a big help. It's not that it's difficult to assemble; it's just that they were VERY efficient with the instructions using only 3 diagrams total. Had to study them carefully. Def needed another person to help hold pieces together. A couple things. Look carefully at all your pieces. One of the factory-placed stretcher bars was not in its hole (photo) Had to take entire back apart, yet some factory placed screws were stripped, making this difficult. Even with these issues, love the stools (will love them even more if we can work out the foot rest).
