Gates heat shrink tape is the worst way to secure a hose. As a technician, this was my worst enemy and cost a lot of money for damage. I bought this tool hoping it would be easy to uninstall but instead found that it doesn't work as advertised. The best option is to just heat the chisel and cut it, hoping you don't ruin the hose or knife. I had high hopes for this tool and bragged about it in front of my colleagues, but finally, when I used it for the first time, I regretted that I couldn't take back my words. Not only do I have to end up putting a yoke on it to get it back on the road.
