Rating updated. Bought 7 months ago, recently broke. I've used it sparingly for a few podcasts. Initially I thought the sound sounded good but after comparing it to other mics I have (Rode NTK, AKG C3000B, AKG C414) it just doesn't come close to the professional quality of recording mics. It's good at best for solo vocals on streaming podcasts, which is really what it's designed for. Must give a star for the blue customer service. It took a full week for them to reply to me with a return authorization and they didn't even send me a postal label. I have to eat the shipping costs! I also need to dock another star because they "accidentally" told me it was a B stock when I registered the serial number. with you! Blue Microphones sells B-stocks in their Revain store as if they were brand new! Something was wrong with this mic from the start. No wonder it died in less than 7 months and was hardly used. I'm sending it back at my own expense and I hope they honor the warranty. But based on my recent experience with Blue mics, I cannot recommend them. Won't be buying from Blue again.
