I bought this for my three and a half year old who is not quite ready for long bike rides. I didn't want a bulky trailer or rear child seat. Just something simple. It definitely works. I have a Schwinn mountain bike and had no trouble installing it. If you're having a hard time looking at a picture and figuring out where the pieces go, you're going to have a hard time. Came without instructions. It was pretty easy to look at the picture and figure out where the pieces went. I'm 5ft 3in and can see over him perfectly. He likes it when he has a chance to talk. It doesn't come with a strap, but it's easy to add. The seat is nicely padded. They definitely get a little crooked when riding, which isn't bad for a few miles. You get used to this feeling. Looks sturdy but I would recommend checking and tightening the bolts from time to time. Overall I think this is the perfect solution for us and not bad for the price.
