Review on Premium Quality Adapter Enclosure SATA III by Enoch Sahay

Cheap and broken a third time, used

So far I've never had to write a negative review. Bought to use with my HP 15-db0011dx laptop. Everything looked fine out of the box and my discs fit perfectly and were easy to remove from the tray. Tried to insert the tray and encountered resistance. I pushed a little harder and he stepped in and the drive worked. But on my laptop, the tablet is fully included. To pull it out, there is nothing to pull. I levered it out with a screwdriver and tried a different drive. It got easier and it worked. Tried to put it back in and met resistance and the drive didn't work. After disassembling it, I found that the SATA connector was pushed up. I opened the compartment and found that the solder tags holding the connector to the board had come loose. I decided to remove the excess solder and solder again. Did this and when I reinstalled the board a screw or post broke through the bottom of the tray (metal size 23/1000 inch) and had to be sawed off. Did this and it just refused to go into the sata port unless I removed the bottom of the computer and tilted the tray to get into the computer's sata port. Not exactly what you want to do to swap drives. In summary, this compartment breaks easily and has to be pryed out with a screwdriver, at least on my HP. Your computer may or may not be fine. Why not add an extra loop to the end of the tray for easy removal? This is a more expensive box. I don't want to see what the cheaper ones are. You look just like this one. Okay from $13 and smarter for the experience.
