Budget headphones are above average. I have $200 headphones and I can say these Skullcandy lack the highs and mids, but not terribly. It costs money. Pretty impressive bass for its size. I'm only pointing this out because I see other reviewers bragging about how great these headphones sound - they're above average for the price, but they're NOT as good as the high-end Skullcandy and not as good as other more expensive headphones . . to be expected. If you have an equalizer on your music player, you can fix most of it. If you often listen to YouTube music, you cannot change the equalizer. So don't get your hopes up that they'll sound good for music and phone calls - that includes what you hear as well as what your mic sends out on phone calls (I tested it on both ends). They are a bit tight in my opinion if you wear glasses you should put your hands slightly over the back of your ear or the springy action of this headset will hurt more than others as they are tighter than other cans. Unless you like slightly tight headphones, unless you have a smaller head, they probably aren't for you. Taking matters into my own hands, I heated the center headrest with a hot hair dryer and folded them back so they were less tight. I then dunked the headband under cold water to "lock" the new position. It worked great, they are no longer tight. If you try this, be careful not to break the headphones in half. Gentle pressure under heat works great. Also, you CAN adjust these Skullcandy headphones, they stretch and lengthen contrary to what some reviewers say, but you can't adjust how snug they fit unless you use my technique above, just so you know . Good buy and I would buy again.
