I got this back almost confused after such a good review. I loaded the block with knives first and found that unless you hold the block with one hand and take out the knife with the other, you can't take one without knocking the damn thing over. Then I watched the video and saw that they don't have this problem. There is a nifty trick that allows you to remove the knives with one hand without pulling out the whole block due to the powerful magnets. You need to rotate the knife so that only the top/blunt edge of the knife touches the block and then withdraw it by tilting the knife tip slightly so that the handle holds the block in place when you turn off the magnet. It sounds silly and difficult to explain in writing, but if you just watch the video and try it a few times, you'll see that it works. Well, that might still be a pain in the ass for you, but after finding out I decided to keep the product. I hope this comment helps others who may be frustrated at first.
