Updated 10/12/21 - So I tried this 'portable air conditioner' in what I describe below. Summers here in Florida can get pretty hot in this room. Unfortunately, this "portable air conditioner" did little or nothing to cool the air. At the very beginning when I soaked the pads in cold ICE water, colder air blew for a few moments, but that stopped pretty quickly. quickly. I was skeptical that this would actually work, but after reading some of the reviews I realized why not. I would appreciate if these inner pads retained the cooling effect for at least 1 or 2 hours. not a few minutes. It takes longer to make ice water and then soak the clothes. I would advise them to use some kind of freezing gel (like the ones I've seen for coolers) instead of those cheap soaking pads. At least gel items can be frozen in the cold and hopefully last longer than just soaked in a cold cloth blown over by a fan. I'm giving this back because it's all a glorified fan with cooling pads in front of it. (Old Review) - I will update this review if anything changes. The device was packaged well and appears to be of high quality. I'm going to use it in an area my central air conditioner can't reach (a small office space next to a garage). I've always been curious about how well these products can help with cooling down. The product has an internal "cell" that can be soaked in water to cool. I'll test different ways to see why they work best (soak in water, refrigerate, and maybe freeze). I will inform you of any changes.
