In general they were quite easy to assemble. The first took me about 45 minutes, constantly checking the instructions and correcting mistakes, and the second only took me about 15 minutes without even looking at the sheet. Mine aren't exactly like the picture but not bad for a first time with zero sewing skills. I have a big problem with coloring. I don't know if the parts are from two different sources but the sole is a few shades darker than the cuffs and toe as shown in the photos. If you wear them with socks your normal size might be a bit tight, but if you are barefoot your size should be correct. With bare feet I got about an 8.5 so I made a mistake from other reviews and bumped it up to a 10. Too large. It's ok as the skin tends to stick to your feet and they are designed to lie in them, but I easily land toe-width behind my heels if I pull them firmly over my toes. After all, the leather seems to be of fairly high quality and is a pretty good project, especially when you consider that buying leather moccasins will cost you at least twice as much, possibly three times as much. If the colors were consistent I would probably give them 5 stars but since they look almost two tone I have to reduce it to 4.
