I needed to secure a large piece of plexiglass in a vinyl window. It's a large hinged window, and the inner screen has a little mounting tab, so the plexiglass had to be cut precisely. This is a new window in a new apartment building and they didn't want us putting screws in the window to hold the plexiglass in place. They just wanted me to tape it in place. So I did. This brand felt very sticky and held up really well. Lasted about a week. Then the weather got hot, rising to 87 degrees. I live on the sixth floor and have south-facing windows that are 8ft x 8ft. I had to install two portable air conditioners, each with two 5" hoses attached to plexiglass. After running all day and at 6:30pm the temperature got too high from the exhaust hose and the sun and the tape JUST LET GO. The panels came loose and fell into the apartment. One and soon another. I was surprised and had to do something quickly. I had an old silver faucet, re-glued the white ribbon and added a new silver ribbon around the rim. It helped me get through the night. The next day I ordered 3 different brands of tape and added a screw on either side. No choice. This is a decorative tape NOT RESISTANT TO EXCESSIVE HEAT.
