I have a solar shed and wanted 110 volts. I need 800W max. When this item became available I decided to order it and try it. Here's what I found: 1. It appears to be a very well made device and is capable of radiating heat, which is important for such a device. It also comes with isolators in case you need to isolate the device from anything it is mounted on.2. The device has a detachable remote control with status indicator for normal power-up and error status. The cable is just over 14 feet long, which gives me enough room to mount it where the AI can easily access the controls. The device draws about 9/10 amps when idle and powered on. That's a lot less than the 3 amps my old unit was drawing before it died. The only thing to watch out for is that when you first plug it in, it draws enough current to spark! Subsequent disconnects and reconnects didn't show this, so I'm guessing the device remembered it was originally on. Just something to see.4. The company supplies a 2 foot patch cord using 5 ga wire. That's more than the listed 6 ga wire for a two foot distance, so that's a plus. It's pre-wired, which is good, but I find the clamps that come with it a bit too big for my battery, so I use two washers and put the connector between the washers.5. This device definitely turns on smoothly. What's really fun is the LED lamp, which can be dimmed for soft light and is bright when the device is switched on. If you already have the device working, the light will work fine. At the moment I am very satisfied, but I will not know the long-term stability of the device for a long time. If something changes where there is an issue I will update this review. For now, I would recommend this device if your needs match the capabilities of the device.
