Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

At full brightness and pretty intensive work (Office, browsing, viewing videos, parallel downloading huge files from the network), it drained from 100% to 50% in 2.5 hours while running on battery power in Windows 10's "improved battery" mode. It was discharged from 100% to 80% in 1.5 hours of use in the same enhanced battery mode, albeit with reduced screen brightness and flying mode. I did not time how long Linux took to boot up, but it seemed about the same. *TPM must be activated in Settings prior to installing Windows 11. The Fedora 35 Linux distribution is now being discussed. Except hibernate (which does function on Windows), everything else worked.

Pros
  • Cost (measured in 2008, before a price increase to $32,000) Superior processing speed and visual fidelity. Quick solid-state drive (reading and writing speeds drop from >1.5 GB/s to 400-450 MB/s when not attached to AC power, although this is still plenty fast for productive use). Very light and very lean Long runtime on the battery* Support for Windows 11 and Linux*
Cons
  • Besides the keyboard appearing cheap and noisy, I can't think of any major flaws, especially considering the low price.
