I think the center tool metal should be too soft. The first 4 went perfectly. For the fifth time, the lower part is inserted into the part of the tool that is hit with a hammer. My sewing project that I've worked so hard on is stuck between two pieces. My husband pulled them apart with pliers which wasn't easy! We thought it was an accident and tried two more times. We almost couldn't separate them and my project suffered as a result. I'm definitely sending this back.
