Feels like butter! And very gentle yet effective in massaging the scalp (other wooden brushes tend to be a little rough on the tip causing unnecessary scalp stiffness). Unlike other wooden brushes, the pin is embedded in the rubber in such a way that no hair can get caught between that connecting area, if you get my meaning. I think over time my hair will break less!
