This valve has only been fitted for two days so I can't comment on its durability but I will check and install my first impressions. The valve arrived well packaged. It was well packaged and included instructions with specs. Overall this is what you would expect, a brass valve body that is attached to the solenoid to make it work. This is a two wire solenoid that seems to work with any positive wire. The electronics are covered, but obviously not waterproof. Seems like the occasional splash should be fine. I installed this device on my lawn mower. I had a very common problem with fuel leaking into my crankcase due to the float bowl not seating perfectly. At first I switched off the mower manually. It worked but I forgot to close it from time to time and I had to change the oil. Doing it automatically was the best option for me. So I unscrewed the old valve and clamped the new one. I then ran wires from the lawnmower's ignition switch to activate the valve when the key was turned on - voila! The valve opens and closes very quickly and works great for this application. If there are issues with shelf life, cancel the subscription.
