I empty the bin and clean the filter after every run but still only do 6-7 cycles before the filter becomes too clogged to let much air through. Luckily, they're durable, washable, and inexpensive, so I only keep two in rotation and swap them out every week, letting them rinse and dry over the weekend. After doing this I have been able to use the same two filters for the past few months and neither has shown any significant signs of wear. Good buy if you don't mind that little extra work!
