Review on 🛏️ Bucilla Stamped Cross Stitch Crib Cover for ABC Learning by Gelin Battle

The design is really cute BUT there are a few things that bother me about this blanket. The word HIPPOPOTAMUS is spelled WRONG! Instead, it is spelled "Hippo". Nobody on the design team noticed this before it went into production?! I think I didn't look closely at the small picture on the front of the product before purchasing it because now I see it's spelled wrong there as well. To teach the child his alphabet and words, as well as the fact that the word on the blanket was misspelled. I spent many hours on this blanket to discover this problem halfway through and now I feel like I don't want to give it to anyone because of it. With this set, the thread is not divided and sorted like many others. There are a few colors that are pretty close together and it's a little tedious sorting and checking everything with so many different colors like in this design. Be sure to do this in very bright and clear light and check the number of strands. It's just a simple step that's already been done in other products I've bought, so I wish it was pre-sorted for that. Some thread color values are not very related to the amount of thread you use in the design. . I followed the guidelines exactly and found that some colors were way too big (I know it's better to have too many) and in one I stopped at a quarter yard. I was almost certain I would run out and not have enough to finish the pink in the apple for the letter A and I barely creaked. As for the print quality. The B on my quilt was not printed well in several places. looks pretty messy and not straight forward. I was disappointed. Also, there is a stitch that the instructions list next to the cross around the ice cream cone, but it's not actually printed in the actual design on the quilt. Yes, it's a minor thing, but it speaks to a general lack of quality as there are other issues. The design is pretty cute, but I'm not happy with the other editions.
