I had a computer-side power cord that came loose and was trying to reconnect when it flared up. So I had to order a replacement power supply for my Surface Pro. WARNING, so connect the AC adapter to the computer first, and then plug the power cord into an electrical outlet. If the computer side is dropped for any reason, do not attempt to connect the AC adapter without first unplugging the AC side from the outlet. Lesson learned, so this replacement works perfectly!
