Review on Premium Glass Polishing Pad Set: PROMMON 2Inch Car Glass Felt Polishing Buffing Pad, 8pcs Sanding Discs, Felt Polishing Wheel with Towel, 3mm Shank Backing Pad for Polishing Glass and Metal by Stephen Chowdary

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It takes time to get great results with cerium oxide, but it's worth it

These pads are holding up pretty well. I spent about 5 hours making the windshield 99% scratch free. That's a TON of fine/medium scratches that have accumulated over the years along with some small gouges on the blade that needed to be sanded down. The pad's surface area is small and allows you to really apply some force to the windshield (which you need) to polish the glass. I did this in 10 minute intervals (both your hand and your drill need a break after about 10 minutes). Your drill will get quite hot from use and will need to cool down before the next 10 minute session. After about 30 sessions I have a perfectly clean (no water stains) smooth windshield with about 99% of the scratches gone. I used 3 pads to get there. The pads themselves were fine, in the end it was the velcro that failed, not the felt pad itself. I have 2 left at the moment. I missed a spot or two that can be taken care of in 3 or 4 more sessions. I have ordered 3 more sets and will do all the windows on the car in the future.

Pros
  • This kit can be used in conjunction with a grinder.
Cons
  • Some bugs
