I needed a second quad monitor board for another computer and was looking at the NVS 420 that I was using in other computers. Model 420 is no longer manufactured. The 510 is significantly faster, slightly cheaper, and easier to install and wire. The 510 uses 4 mini displayport connectors instead of the VHDCI connector on the old card. The mini display ports seem pretty damn easy to connect. The card came with a full height mount and a short mount in case I needed one (I did). The 510 has 2GB vs 512MB on the 420 and 192 CUDA cores vs 16 on the 420. Great calling card. That's probably not what anyone would look for in games.
