My 21 year old cat Charlie loves this cat cave! It gets cold at home at night and he loves the warmth of his cave. When he sleeps in it during the day, I just grab his tail and carry him to where I am so we're always together. It is very durable and well made. Charlie was my mother's cat. She died in September and we took him in with us. We have another cat and two dogs so Charlie feels safer in the cave. Sometimes I just roll over and sleep next to him. I love this cat cave and am planning to buy another one for my other little boy. The thickness is perfect for winter, spring, summer and autumn. Worth every penny. I put a pillowcase in the bottom for regular washing to keep the den clean. A great addition to our home. Looks great anywhere.
