Review on Bose QuietComfort 25/35, QC25/QC35 II Replacement Audio Upgrade Cable - 1.5M (4.9Ft) by Daniel Robinson

Super High Quality. Best Option For Bose QC Headphones

The original cable for my Bose QC25 headphones was not very robust, and broke at the plug during a recent flight. Consequently, I decided to replace it with something stronger. I do not need the volume control, so I ordered a number of basic 2.5mm to 3.5mm cables to test. This braided nylon cable by NewFantasia was by far the best of the bunch. This is a very robust 4mm diameter cable that looks and feels like a quality product. It is specifically designed for the QC25 and other Bose headphones, which gives it a fit and function edge over most other cables. Some reviews mention that the cable is a little stiff, and while nylon braiding may not be as flexible as other options, it offers outstanding abrasion resistance and durability while still retaining enough flexibility to be easily coiled and folded away in the headphone case. In fact, I find it easier to store this cable than the original. The 2.5mm plug that interfaces with the headphones has an aluminum outer case, and is sized for use with specific Bose headphones. It is a solid unit that is pleasing to use. It is easy to insert and most importantly, easy to remove. A big upgrade from the original cable. The 3.5mm plug also has an aluminum outer case, and is a little bulky compared to the original right-angle plug. However, it is way stronger than the original, and I don’t believe this will break like the original did. The ¼” adapter is a nice bonus.Sound quality is as good if not better than original, and the 1.5-meter length matches the original cable. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

Pros
  • Eliminates audio static and interference
Cons
  • Clunky in appearance
