The ACDelco gas cap, made in Mexico, is taller than the Original Equipment gas cap so the gas door will not close even though it has a recessed slot for the tether. not suitable. I ordered a different brand this time but I'll flush the filler tube with a gasket so I can't make a fair comparison and of course no other brand has a tether slot. my loss. The best I can say about ACDelco is that once installed it is locked. Some brands require the key to be turned in a certain direction to lock, but that wasn't my experience with this ACDelco gas cap.
