I bought a size 2T for my boy who is almost 3 years old. He's not a big kid; pretty average in size but wanted it to fit well and read the reviews it was big. We've had it for several months now. The tie has a clasp, of course, so don't accidentally let it get into the wash, otherwise you have to look for a new one. I'll put it this way: He wears a jacket 3-4 times a week: to school, to the playground, even sleeps in it. Of course the pants are a bit loose and he usually wears many other ties/shirts but I can't think of a single complaint other than the pockets are fake. If your three-year-old wears a pocket watch, their jacket and waistcoat won't match. But it washes well. I throw him in the regular laundry and dry him with the rest of his three year old dirty clothes. It looks so cool and complements everywhere.
