Review on Superior 1 oz. Tube of Permatex 81343 White Anti-Seize Lubricant - Unbeatable Friction Protection! by William Stevenson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It seems to have helped.

I've used it on new spark plug threads which is a moot point. I removed old spark plugs of unknown age on my 2010 F150 5.4 liter 3 valve engine, the old spark plug threads had quite a bit of rust and were difficult to remove. I installed a new plug with no anti-seize and the plug punctured me completely and fitted the existing head threads. So I removed the new plug and added some anti-seize to the threads of all new plugs and the install went smoothly. I was able to pretty much finger tighten all of the connectors until they were secure before using a torque wrench and setting them to 15 ft lbs. Since SP509 spark plugs are rated for around 100,000 miles, the spark plugs are likely to remain untouched for a long time, resulting in unfinished spark plug rust and/or thread fouling over that long period of time.
