Review on πŸ“± OnePlus 8 IN2017 5G T-Mobile 128GB Android Smartphone (Renewed): Introducing the Stunning Interstellar Glow Edition by William Auditore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

good phone T-Mobile 5G is not worth the upgrade. I don't like the curved edge of the screen.

This is my first OnePlus and I love it! It's fast enough. (That's why I upgraded. I won't buy Moto G again because the processor is always slow. I thought the Pixel 3a would last me longer, but it's not powerful enough either. I'm not a gamer or power user. Don Don't use 90Hz, stick with the 60Hz screen refresh.) Personally, I don't like the curved edge of the screen. I'm using a case and seem to hit the edge hard which causes random apps to open. Sometimes I press something on a curve and it doesn't recognize the touch. The battery is excellent compared to the Moto G5 and Pixel 3a. (The Pixel 3a's screen brightness was abysmal for a desert where we have bright sun. I had to run it at 100% brightness all day, resulting in about 2/3 of a day's battery life.) I think T- Mobile does not yet have adequate bandwidth or coverage in Las Vegas. On the LV band, 5G performance is slower than 4G LTE, presumably due to insufficient bandwidth. The phone returns to LTE but sticks to 5G while performance is on the toilet. It's also happening at the edges of 5G coverage, which stays at 5G and doesn't fall back to LTE until I've already been let down by painful pauses.
