Use original Motorcraft parts for this repair!
It is best to use OEM Motorcraft parts to assemble this thermostat housing. The original lasted 75,000 miles and was replaced by a Dorman build that lasted 7,000 miles in less than 10 months. All new Motorcraft body plus new o-ring #8 (#8) for temp sensor, no leaks since install 3 weeks ago or more.
