Review on Stylish Nordic Knit Accessories: 20 Modern Designs Adapting 4 Classic Sweater Patterns by Kristen Simpson

I reviewed this book for NetGalley. This is a very useful and entertaining knitting book. Ms. Oftedal takes four classic Norwegian sweaters (Setesdal sweater, Fana cardigan, Marius ski sweater and Voss cardigan - kindly adding a discussion of their dominant stitch patterns, patterns, history and their place in Norwegian culture) and adapts them and develops them further. Classics in creative and accessible modern patterns. I love these patterns and their approach to updating traditional styles. Clothing and accessories can be used and made fun (everything from cute sweaters to shorts and iPad cases). The instructions are very clear and concise. Most knitters of all skill levels should be able to follow them. The photography is beautiful, with great photos of finished knitwear interspersed with beautiful Norwegian landscapes. I highly recommend this book. Very well done!
