I bought this to replace a tablet that was difficult to charge. You have to hold the cable a certain way for it to work. It's clear that the problem was in the charging connector, as several cables had the same thing. I bought it hoping it would work, but it failed immediately. First, the tools that come with the kit are useless. You try to open the tablet with their help, and the soft plastic just flexes and gives. I ended up having to use another thin piece of metal I had at home. Upon opening, the part looked slightly different than the original, but it seemed to fit well. I connected the cable to the new charging board and plugged it back together. When I plugged it in to charge, I got no response. Then I noticed that the charging area is very hot. I immediately opened the tablet and smelled burned electronics on the new charging board. I took it out and put the original back in, and at least it charges, although it still requires a bit of cord wiggling. I may have just gotten the boardwalk bum, but I would strongly advise against it.
