Description says "Handmade full grain leather with braid pattern." As a one year old As a leather craftsman, I can distinguish the impression of "handicraft" from "roller embossing" in basket weave patterns. Additionally, the embossed design is off-center the full length of the belt, with a wider edging at the bottom than at the top. The stitching is very well done, I expect the strap to be durable; we'll see in the next few months. For the price, I keep it for myself and use it with my work clothes rather than forgo a truly "manual" belt.
