Review on Bosch GAS18V 02N Handheld Vacuum Cleaner: Compact and Powerful Cleaning Solution by Christina Sampson

Bought to clean up a bit of clutter in a workshop (garage) or for renovation work. I like the idea that it uses the same batteries as my other Bosch tools, but performance was my main criteria. People should read the description before whining about it not having a battery. It's for those of us who already own a Bosch charger and batteries. Is it a bit expensive considering that? Possibly, but I don't need to buy a charger and batteries. If so, choose a different vacuum cleaner. To be fair, this is not a store vacuum. This is a manual vacuum cleaner type dust collector. In that sense, it works great. I have a handheld vacuum at home and bought a few other handheld vacuums to compare suction power. I researched all of this to try and find the most efficient models. I tested them side by side with Bosch. At worst, it was comparable to other CCPs. I did a test by placing the balls on the carpet and seeing how far vacuums sucked the balls. (I didn't want the vacuum cleaners to get dirty so I used Lego and marbles). Bosch outperformed everyone. In addition, the hole in the Bosch allows larger objects such as balls to be completely sucked in. Other vacuums have a narrower rectangular opening and the balls/Lego will get stuck in the opening and fall out as you rotate. Not so at Bosch. Feeling more confident with the Bosch, I took it outside to test it in my garage for sawdust etc along with the handheld I already have. Bosch worked best and now I have it. I don't use it for stacking (I bend over and use a broom and dustpan). I use a small store-bought car vacuum. I use Bosch to clean the top of my table saw, workbench and power tools and dust after repairs. I take it to my mom along with other Bosch tools and batteries when I need to fix something. Ideal. That's what it's for! If you have a $300 handheld computer that sucks up a golf ball through a garden hose, good for you. Why are you even looking at this product? The attachments supplied correspond to their intended purpose. Of course, a big mess needs more vacuum cleaners! Negative reviews are based on expectations that are not suitable for this type of vacuum cleaner. I like, use and recommend.
