Review on 🔒 Kwikset 99130-002 SmartCode 913 Non-Connected Keyless Entry Door Lock - Satin Nickel by Richard Edwar

The device has been in use for less than 24 hours, but I wanted to give a quick overview of the lock and maybe give some advice. to work as advertised. The mechanism is a bit noisy but I didn't expect high performance at this price. I would advise you to watch and follow the online installation video. Makes installation and programming much easier. I will definitely write an additional review on durability or if/when problems arise. UPDATE 4/27/18: It's been a little over a year since purchase and everything continues to work fine. Batteries (not included) last several months before needing a charge, indicating low power consumption. The auto-lock feature is a bit random at times, but that's not a problem for us as most of the time we make sure to press the lock button when we leave the house. Definitely recommend if you need an electric lock on a budget. UPDATE 2/17/19: We are still very happy with this product but wanted to add an update. In our previous update, I mentioned that the auto-lock feature was an accident. After switching from rechargeable batteries to disposable lithium batteries, we noticed that the auto-lock function works 100%. Even fully charged batteries seem to lack the energy needed to make this mechanism work properly. We also noticed that the auto-lock function is faster than with rechargeable batteries.
