This slow cooker with lid is best for making homemade macaroni and cheese or bean casseroles. The pattern and ridges are the same color and glaze throughout the dish. The bright and glossy surface of the plate is dark red, like the new stop sign. Only the bottom of the pot ring and the lid under the side ring are the only places that are made of white ceramic. The handles are just the right size to hold with bare hands or wear with oven mitts while hot. I've found that small silicone clamshell gloves work best with this pot. The box is packed in a brown cardboard box with black lettering, starting with a 2 liter pot with a lid. Lots of protective packaging inside to prevent the pot from falling to my house from storage.
