Review on Garland 11003 Rawhide Mallet - Size 3 Inch by Steven Ali
Use it to make knives.
Basically I had a nearly finished knife that I couldn't sharpen straight so it had to be heat treated again. I couldn't hit it with a regular hammer as that would leave a dent on the surface, so this rawhide hammer is a perfect choice.
