We bought this to use in an antique cherry wood dining room sideboard - around 90 years old. The previous house for the buffet was in the house for smokers. He spends the entire 90 years of his life indoors with smokers. We thoroughly cleaned every crack and surface, but the smell of smoke remained. A solution for coal sacks appears. They've been at the buffet for about 8 months. The smoke smell has definitely subsided but is still faintly present. We'll continue to leave them in place to see if the smell goes away completely. The bags themselves are odorless. These are extremely durable sensory bags. I think they are worth their money and helped with our problem.
