I used to only wash a hat or two. They never held their shape so I figured I'd wash my hats. With the cost of new baseball caps today and the amount of dirty baseball caps that are still in good condition, I figured it was time to do something about it. I've read a number of reviews that gave it low ratings, but I saw that those reviewers may have used it incorrectly. It's not really recommended in a tumble dryer, but people have done it and ended up with broken or deformed frames. I used the dishwasher on a warm setting because my dishwasher doesn't have a lower setting. I have no way of turning off the high temperature dryer, so I pulled the hat out as soon as it stopped washing. There were a few spots where some soap and dirt had built up on some of the seams, but I took a nylon brush with some warm water and brushed it off before the hat was dry. I then put the hat back in the washing machine and left it on the counter for a couple of days to fully dry. The hat came out clean and kept its original shape. The washing machine itself was not deformed or broken. It worked great. As long as you follow the directions, treat it with care and care, and don't use heat or a dryer that spreads it out, you shouldn't have any problems. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to buy a hat washer.
