Fantastic device Everything inside me said "I hope not. It's probably rubbish". Of course, the packaging and design reinforce the foreboding of trash, but this is a book not to be judged by its cover. It is very easy to install in my Honda Odyssey 05 and works perfectly - the quality of the microphone connection is also excellent (I installed it behind the steering wheel in front of the speedometer). It's a simple DIY installation. Just watch a video on You Tube on how to remove a car receiver - it seems scary but there are only 3 screws and a trim strip that pops out with some elbow grease. Get a cheap adapter for the back of your car radio, you need it. If you have a DVD player installed. All buttons on the steering wheel work great. The phone will automatically connect to it. Calls are clear on both sides. Click on the device itself, just install it and forget about its existence. It turns on and off with the radio - you would never realize it was a standalone unit unless you installed it yourself - seamless integration into the standard system. happened once, but the car receiver stopped recognizing the bluetooth device. Turning the car off and on again fixed the issue, although turning the radio on and off didn't help. While I'm of the opinion that it's more of a receiver issue than a device issue - probably due to the Y adapter I'm using - connecting the phone to a Bluetooth device has never been an issue. Notes: During installation, before everything is screwed tight again, check whether the wiring harness on the Odyssey 05 is old and loose. I had to adjust and wiggle the harness several times to get a good connection - at first I only got one audio channel. It's easy to assume that the problem is with a shoddy-looking Bluetooth device. I drilled a hole in a small compartment just above the cup holders to run a wire through and kept the Bluetooth receiver there for access. There are plenty of options for placing the unit in other locations - although without an extension cord I don't think the cord would reach the bottom ashtray next to the power sockets. You can even leave it behind the dash or under the steering column next to the obdII port (or for sure the top glove box). There are no buttons on the device to press to operate (turns on and off with the car). , it is powered by the radio) - you can hide the device anywhere in the dashboard and connect extension cables to the Aux port (not required for operation) or the USB port (only required to play MP3 files). Just a multi SD card reader if you want to go old school and load MP3s onto the card. it plays them from a card reader - functionally it's like an old school mp3 player, the car receiver acts like a cd (indicates what track is playing - no id3 tags just track numbers) i have the usb port not tested to charge your phone or play mp3 files directly from your phone. I would buy it again, recommend it to anyone, got it as a gift for someone who just bought a used 05 Odyssey.
