I've knit the family name stockings for years, and can no longer do so. It was a big leap to look at purchased stockings and then to just add the name at the top. But WOW! These are beautiful, well made, roomy, thick, soft. I cannot buy the yarn for this price, to say nothing of the time to knit them. Colors (burgundy red and creamy ivory) match my hand-made ones well, and I can keep the family tradition alive for the new babies and in-laws to the family. The wide band at the top is plenty of room to add the name. I will probably add cross-stich names to top, but could also have names embroidered locally. Pretty sure I will also be giving as special wedding gifts. THANK YOU!
