I like this spinner for its functionality. You can get good radial speed and dry lettuce and other foods well. After about a year (we use it about once a week) the teeth on the turntable under the lid no longer fit into the grooves in the turntable. It just slipped. Inspection showed that the pointed contact tip in the bowl was worn, causing the spinner basket to sink lower and the teeth not engaging. My solution was to put a large flat washer on the pointed end, which raised the basket just enough for the teeth to fit into the slots in the basket. Let's see how long this works. Still a good product but I'll only give it a three. The tip can be coated with Teflon or less friction material to minimize wear.
