I can't help but fall in love

I once fell in love with a set of Panasonic wireless headphones. (They're "wireless" but still connected.) My wife loves her AirPods, but they don't satisfy me (and they're ridiculously expensive), although I'm still open to the option of using separate headphones -- especially since I mostly only listened to podcasts with one ear. Then I had the chance to try the Soundcore Anker Liberty Air True Headphones and fell in love with them on first hearing. Of course, I remained open to the possibility that another pair of headphones might unseat them. Skullcandy Sesh Buds did just that and stayed on the throne for months. Then came the eppla (apple?) true wireless earbuds. I immediately liked the cute little charging case and the smaller headphone form factor. (Speaking of sweeties, their Bluetooth name is "cute Encounters 100.") They're almost charged and pair with my iPhone and each other with ease. The sound is clear, with good bass when tight. I mainly listen to podcasts and audio books (left earpiece only); While some headphones only allow you to use a specific earbud, they are completely independent: listen with one ear, the other, or both. That worries me immensely. The battery life is fantastic. I haven't tried making calls because they don't read my voice very well when dictating unless I speak slowly and hold my hand near my face to "aim" the audio. They're comfortable all day and sit fairly snugly in the ears (not as snug as the Sesh, but much better than the Ankers). The multifunction buttons are very responsive, and I invariably pause or skip what I hear when fitting the headphones in my ear canal. Not so hot what's up; slight irritation. All in all, a great pair of headphones at an unbeatable price. Update 30-Mar-21: This is truly amazing. You can connect each bud to an independent source! I happened to have an iPhone on one ear and a MacBook on the other. I'm not sure how useful this can be, but I thought it was very cool. Update 08/06/2021: I thought I had lost one of the buds so I immediately bought a new set. Then I found the lost bud. I'm keeping a second set because at $12 it's worth having a spare.
