After I rewind the winch to properly feed and untangle the cord. The reel doesn't put much tension on the line when it's set, so it creates a tangle on the reel. If someone just pulls and tightens it without rewinding the spool, it will severely damage the cable, greatly reduce the cable's working capacity, and not tension the boat at all. If they wrap the coil well and tightly, they will ship it without keeping the coil taut and it will loosen during shipping. Otherwise an excellent product.
