I have 4 custom computers. During the build process I came to the conclusion that the software on the CD was running out. So the DVD/CD-ROM bays are pretty much useless as you can go to the manufacturer's website and download what you need. I put 2 of these in my computer for my hard drives to fill in the gaps for the case and also to house and manage cables. It's as easy for one site as it is for a regular hardware bay and then plugging in SATA and Molex. Secondly. Just open the door and slide the HD until you feel it connect and close the door. That's all. The blue LED will illuminate to notify you of the reader. Works like a "normal" setup, I would continue to use such products. I have 2 USB DVDs/CD-ROMs in case I need to use the CD for something.
