I am a connoisseur of shorts to wear under skirts. I have bought them all and I have been disappointed about 75% of the time. These are the best shorts, in my opinion, even better than the fancy Undersummers with the lace. These are NOT SHAPEWEAR. They do not bind or pinch anywhere. The elastic/ decorative adornment in the waist is minimal, and doesn’t add bulk, bunch or roll. The legs also do not roll up. The fabric is a little stretchy and fits to your body, rather than being baggy/saggy, or having a long crotch, like some of the cheaper, more bloomer-type options. They only very very softly swish when I walk. It’s not noticeable. So, yes, these are great and you should buy them.
