There are different options as to what type of material you can use to protect your devices and each has its pros and cons. I don't like glass for my phone because it can break easily. I prefer premium "military quality" films from companies like ArmorSuit or Zagg, although the former is overpriced. For an iPad or other tablet, however, I recommend glass for the following reasons: it smudges a lot less than plastic, plastic films tend to take on a yellow tint over time, and that tint gets worse over time, and it doesn't feel like it as comfortable on your fingers as glass. The only benefit of using plastic over glass is that it offers more protection. Since my iPad is in a case with a case, and iPads are far less likely to be dropped than phones, I think glass is the best choice for tablets. Installation is easy. I actually moved it the first time and was able to take it off and put it back on immediately with no issues. It comes with dust removal stickers as well as a cloth to remove stains on the glass. Tip: Install it in the bathroom after running hot water to create steam in the air - this will trap dust particles in the air and not on the tablet or screen protector. Unless your iPad hits the glass directly and cracks, you'll most likely never need to replace that screen. My iPad originally didn't have a screen protector. It also had a very thin body and I dropped it and broke the screen. The repair cost $100. Spend $10 on it as it's a much cheaper repair on the off chance the screen cracks.
