FANTASTIC EXTERIOR CAR COVER WITHOUT BUCKLES AND WITHOUT ELASTIC BOTTOM

overall design and material** 3 STARS overall for the buckle mechanism, no elastic bottom and I've covered my cars in the garage for many years to keep them spotless and clean. The best material is a thin polyester parachute cover with an elastic band at the bottom that keeps the car dust free but weighs next to nothing and is very easy to put on and take off. The Velcro on the front My garage secures my suitcase between uses LOVE: This suitcase seemed to kill two birds with one stone. It's not just an ULTRA THIN parachute-like material in silver with a reflective finish for all weather conditions. It protects the car from the elements and off-road vehicles and has a thin orange silky polyester lining that protects the car's trim from the silver fabric. While I will be using this cover primarily in the garage, I also want it for driving as my car will not be garage parked. Because of this, I appreciate the green reflective ribs around the lid as an added safety feature. Everything about this case was tailored to my immediate needs, both indoors and out. WHAT I DON'T LIKE: The length of my car barely exceeds the maximum length of the shorter cover and the minimum length of this cover that can accommodate a 6 inch longer car. as mine. Well, I'm between sizes and this suitcase is actually longer than my car and doesn't have an elastic at the bottom to secure it, which is atypical in my experience. No, this case has a really cheap plastic pin buckle that secures the case under and on the wheels. Not my idea of a comfortable suitcase when I have to get on my hands and knees for a buckle. Consequently, the design seems more suited to a permanently parked car than everyday use. I am very concerned that the buckles, which are flexible and heavier than fabric, will hit my car and damage the paint no matter how careful I am, especially in windy conditions. And putting on or taking off that suitcase seems like a surefire way to get dirty. Wow. I wasn't expecting such a problem based on my previous experience with covers. The last thing I want is paint damage and looking like I'm wrestling an alligator. I'm the person who even covers them in the garage so possible damage is irrelevant. I want ease of use, not a cumbersome case. Thus, the buckles disrupt the design. There should have been an elastic bottom and a more convenient mechanism for attaching it. I've had the parachute style in the past as well as waterproof lightweight tarpaulin covers that hold tight thanks to the elasticated bottom and yet are easy to put on and take off without damaging the car or those that have a reinforced opening. at the bottom of the cover on each side of the car where the plastic coated steel cable and lock can be spun under the car to the other side and secured. Much easier than using a buckle and won't hurt the car. Both options were available at the same price. I'm not sure if this is the cover for me. As a spare cover in the garage I would just clip the buckles and leave it hanging over the car like a sheet, but to take full advantage of the weather protection I need to secure it so it doesn't get blown off and blown off. easily stolen. Haven't actually installed it on my car yet because I might be returning it and don't want it to get dirty, but I've seen enough other photos to make me think twice about keeping it outside. It has a holdall made of the same material but the bag is larger than any of my previous bags which are usually closer to my actual car length (made in America) so folding and unfolding with those buckles is still an issue. I can't put it on or pull it over a car without worrying about the buckles. When I remove the buckles there is nothing holding the lid except mirror pockets. So keep that in mind. Overall the case is perfect for me with the exception of the buckle design which is a significant issue. I don't need buckles in the garage and this isn't the kind of cover that lends itself to everyday use on a car that drives all the time. too much trouble
