Too soft, door closes too hard

So I work in industry and this item seems too soft to hold the door fully open. It crushes and leaves you minimal space to traverse, which is useless if you have multiple items. It's also difficult to remove. I ended up using only my foot and stretching due to the time it took to remove and the inefficiency of keeping the door open enough to get items through.
